Police Officer Testing
Test Preparation Manual (TPM)
The FPSI Police TPM assesses critical skills needed to succeed as an entry-level police officer. Candidates are given the Test Preparation Manual to study for 4 to 6 weeks. They are then administered a multiple-choice test measuring their acquisition and retention of the material in the Manual.
Structured Interview Package (SIP)
The SIP assesses the critical dimensions of oral communication, interpersonal, and decision- making skills in a systematic and valid manner. It is a complete package that includes all the information and forms needed to conduct a successful interview.
Writing Ability Test
A content-valid written test used to measure candidates’ proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure specific to the English language. Ensure that your candidates possess skills in this area sufficient to prepare reports, issue tickets, and complete necessary paperwork.
Situational Judgment Writing Ability Test
A content-valid written test used to measure candidates’ ability to effectively work with the public and other members of their department in additional to their proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure specific to the English language. Ensure that your candidates possess skills in these area sufficient to respond to public calls, prepare reports, issue tickets, and complete necessary paperwork.
Test Security Agreement
Print, complete, and send in a Test Security Agreement to review FPSI test materials. Agencies only. No personal or individual requests accepted.
